The modfile module: handling of files
The modfile module contains routines for dealing with files which are
used by MODELLER. More complete facilities for most of these functions are
available within the standard 'os' Python module; however, the
modfile module is provided for compatibility with old TOP scripts,
and for systems with incomplete Python installations.
